The Polymer Technology Group (PTG) offers a broad line of polymers to the biomaterials
and medical device industry. The thermoplastics include PurSil™ and CarboSil™
Silicone-Urethanes, Bionate® Polycarbonate Urethane and Elastane™ Polyether
Urethane. BioSpan® Segmented Polyurethane and its modifications with Surface-Modifying
End Groups™ are among the solvent-based polymers manufactured by PTG. The company
also provides custom synthesis to meet specific requirements.
Materials design and production is one aspect of our business. In our state-of-the-art
plant in Berkeley, CA, our clients find a vertically integrated facility for product
