| Main business/activities
with respect to biomaterials/devices/tissue engineering: The Company develops,
manufactures, and markets an array of medical and surgical devices and drugs for
applications in the fields of dentistry, drug delivery, general surgery, ophthalmology,
veterinary and wound care management. It specialises in production of hyaluronan by
fermentation., It completed construction of its 66,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in
1992, including aseptic filling operations and a two-storey walk-in cooler. |

| Examples of projects
(non-confidential): Lifecore manufactures AMVISC® and AMVISC Plus®
sodium hyaluronate for Bausch & Lomb Surgical. Other products currently being produced
at Lifecore include an embryo cryopreservation fluid, a veterinary injectable drug,
hyaluronan drug delivery formulations, and private-labelled ophthalmic viscoelastics. |
